About the Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department at DEC is dedicated to providing robust knowledge in kinematics, thermodynamics, material science, and structural analysis. Our program is designed to create engineers capable of designing, analyzing, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical systems.

With an emphasis on both theoretical knowledge and hands-on industrial practice, we prepare our students to excel in sectors ranging from automotive and aerospace to energy and robotics.

Laboratories & Facilities

Thermodynamics & IC Engine Lab: Testing rigs for internal combustion engines and heat transfer analysis.
Fluid Mechanics Lab: Hydraulic turbines, pumps, and fluid flow measurement devices.
Workshop & Manufacturing Lab: CNC machines, lathes, milling, and welding setups for hands-on fabrication.
CAD/CAM Lab: Equipped with SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CATIA for design and simulation.
